Stagecoach Submissions
The Society is looking for new authors for our monthly newsletter. A foundation of our newsletter, The Stagecoach, is the history article. Our members have told us that this is their favorite part. We would like to use this as a chance to publish new authors. If you are interested in writing a short 350-500 word article for our newsletter, please download the submission form at the bottom of the page for the guidelines.
We encourage anyone interested in offering their article for consideration to check out some history blogs to see what we are looking for, our favorites include:

- Women of History
- History and Women
- CrashCourse – a vlog (video blog) that is a great example of how to make history relevant

The Covered Wagon Submissions
The Society is accepting submissions for the 2024 edition of The Covered Wagon. The Covered Wagon is the Shasta Historical Society’s annual publication, featuring articles, poems, and images related to Shasta County history. Submission form and formatting guidelines are available below or by request to SHS@shastahistorical.org. If you are interested in contributing to the annals of Shasta County history please contact us to learn more. Submission deadline is August 21, 2023
